Puerto Logistico Aeropuerto Los Cabos is a development of Kimco Realty (NYSE symbol “KIM” or www.kimcorealty.com). The development is located on both corners of the main entry to the Los Cabos International Airport in Baja California Sur, Mexico, where the entry intersects with Highway 1, the main highway thoroughfare that runs between Los Cabos and La Paz, and then further north to California. Phase I, as shown herein, was completed in 2008 and the buildings are currently being leased to domestic & foreign companies which supply the rapidly growing local economy.
Puerto Logistico Aeropuerto Los Cabos offers all space constructed for lease, including flexible terms and conditions to meet the needs of the likely diverse clientele. The businesses targeted for occupancy are being sourced from sectors such as:
  • logistics companies moving product to and from the mainland of Mexico and the US which are serving the burgeoning hospitality industry,
  • suppliers focused on furnishing the large number of new vacation homes, condos and time-shares that have been constructed in the local market,
  • suppliers to the large retail base serving Los Cabos consumers (i.e., Home Depot, Sam’s, Costco, Office Max, Mega, Comercial Mexicana, etc.), and

ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT

Kimco developed a first phase of 275,000 square feet of buildings for logistics, commercial warehouse, showroom and flex office uses. A large amount of the space is leased to high quality, important companies sourced from within the Cabo economy.  The development is unique to Los Cabos in that it is the first of its kind locally and offers amenities not previously found in Baja California Sur. These first-class buildings, designed by the architectural firm GAA in Irvine, CA, offer users a highly professional and well-maintained environment, ample parking for both cars and shipping trucks, secured shipping yards, dock-high loading access, a state-of-the-art fire protection system, office space built-to-suit, and well-conceived entry and exit points to maintain efficient flow of incoming and outgoing traffic.

The land area of the new development enables Kimco to ultimately construct a total of over 700,000 square feet of similar building product. Furthermore, the project maintains a significant land inventory to entertain various build-to-suit and land sale opportunities.
